Nestled along a secluded driveway in the heart of Esher, this site offered the ideal canvas for our clients’ vision: to transform a tired bungalow into a striking new family home that balanced elegance, functionality, and investment value. The property’s natural beauty – complete with a private lake at the foot of the garden – inspired the project’s fitting name, Lakeside.
As the first design team appointed to the project, we led the creative journey from inception through to completion. Through a series of in-depth design workshops, we established the architectural language and interior style, ensuring the new home reflected the energy and lifestyle of a family of five while maintaining a refined, timeless character.
Our scope included the design of a fully bespoke kitchen and bar, meticulously crafted and installed by our highly skilled makers to deliver exceptional detail and functionality. Every soft furnishing in the home was also custom‑designed and made by us, creating a unified aesthetic that flows seamlessly throughout.
Our involvement at every stage of the process, and working closely with the Contractor allowed us to translate the clients’ aspirations into a cohesive and deeply personal design. The result is a residence that offers both sanctuary and sophistication – a truly rewarding project that exceeded expectations in style, performance, and return on investment.
This project saw us shortlisted for the International Design and Architecture Awards for the best Interior Design for the £ 2.5 – 5 million category.
