At Lindi Reynolds & Co, we believe that the spaces around us have the power to comfort, to uplift, and to help us cope that little bit better in the most difficult of circumstances.
That is why we have committed to fully refurbishing two rooms at the world-renowned Harefield Hospital, one of the largest and most experienced centres in the world for heart and lung care. We are proud to be working in collaboration with Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals Charity and its dedicated Arts Team – (RB&HArts), to support the continued development of two important spaces within the hospital: the PALS Room and the Transplant Unit Patient and Relatives Quiet Room.
We have set aside a fund to complete this work and are giving freely of our time to transform the PALS Room and the Transplant Unit Patient and Relatives Quiet Room into nurturing, calm, and comforting environments. Many of our wonderful suppliers have stepped up tp the challenge too, and so together we are committed to creating rooms that comfort.
But we want to go further, and this is where you come in.
The renovation work that we have committed to, will make a difference; but there is another opportunity to make an even greater difference and that would come through the introduction of original art into the spaces. Artworks that inspire, distract, uplift and offer a sense of escape to the outside world. Art that offers a link back to what life might be like outside the hospital walls.
We are raising £5,000 to commission artists to create bespoke pieces for these rooms. Every penny raised goes directly to the artists.
Rebekah Ahmed, Head of Community Fundraising and Engagement:
“We are so pleased that Lindi Reynolds & Co are so generously volunteering their time and resource to create a warm and comforting atmosphere at Harefield Hospital for both patients and their loved ones to enjoy. The Harefield Hospital site is so beautifully green, but it can be hard to appreciate that when you’re unable to go outside, so this is a lovely way to bring some of the calming effects of nature into the hospital for patients to enjoy.”
