“Some things are made to be used. Some things are made to be kept. And some — if they are made with enough care, enough skill, and enough love — are made to be passed down.” This is what lives at the centre of the Goldfinches philosophy.
Recently, we launched our sister brand, Goldfinches. It grew out of years of working alongside England’s most gifted furniture makers. Most of our architectural interior design projects involve the creation of at least one very special item of bespoke furniture, created for our client families to be loved, cherished and handed down through the generations. Goldfinches was not so much an idea that we came up with one day, as a passion that has been born of the work that we do day in and day out. It has slowly unfolded into an offering that we are extremely proud of and which brings us, and our clients, great joy. Creating a very special piece of furniture for a client is always a great journey of discovery as the piece takes shape.
Every Goldfinches piece is designed in our Hampton Court studio, and made by hand by the finest makers in England. It is a slow process — deliberately so, involving a high level of collaboration between designer and maker. The drawings, the materials and the making; each stage is considered with great care, always weaving through the piece the elements that will delight and inspire the end user for generations to come. The way that we do that is by honouring the language of furniture making, acknowledging past and present legacies with a keen eye on the future and making sure that we get to the essence of what truly delights a client.
Designed and made with care, each piece is created to suit the way that our London and Surrey clients live, bringing beauty, craftsmanship and a touch of inspiration to the heart of their homes. You can find Goldfinches furniture pieces in some of the most prestigious addresses, across London, Surrey and beyond.
