Our work has taken us to Chelsea recently for the refurbishment of two apartments. The first was a three bedroom Victorian Appartment within a characterful apartment block called Fernshaw Mansions. This was an entire make-over and fit-out. The second is a two bedroom apartment in the Art Deco inspired managed block called Cranmer Court; a stones throw walk from Sloan Square. Working with these character properties to bring them up to the highest interior design specification plays to our strengths every step of the way.
Chelsea is a treasure trove pocket of London; a destination in itself for many good reasons. It is our joy and our pleasure to be delivering these fine pied-a-terres in the heart of Chelsea. Here are just a few reasons why we think Chelsea is a good location if you are thinking of acquiring your own pied-a-terre in London.
The aLBERT BRIDGE

Driving over the Albert Bridge first thing in the morning when the Embankment is still quiet, or as the sun is starting to set is quietly reaffirming. It is a joy that always brings a smile to my face. I think it is because it is so steeped in history, and with its characterful design it takes its place amongst the long line of Londons many quirky and well beloved landmarks. A stunning piece of design, which albeit beautiful, should serve as a reminder to us designers that all that glitters is not gold, and that when taking on a project like this deign, engineering and project management need to work effectively alongside each other. That’s another history lesson, but for now the Albert Bridge has become a much loved landmark that we have the pleasure of driving over from time to time to access our projects.
No 50 Cheyne Walk

Chelsea offers so many opportunities to dine out. No 50 Cheyne Walk, is a favourite restaurant right in the heart of Chelsea. Perfect for a client lunch, or the meeting up of good friends for a special occasion. Always warm, full of atmosphere and elegant to its core. Another favourite, more regularly frequented, probably to do with my love of French Cafe food is Colbert, right on Sloan square. That’s jut to get you started.
Chelsea design centre
What a lucky coincidence that one of our favourite resource centres for luxury interior sourcing is en-route to our Chelsea projects. A real treasure trove of so many of the finest suppliers to the world of luxury Interior Design specification. A perfect meeting spot to share sourcing ideas and to discuss a project over lunch with a client. To reach the Chelsea Design Centre you have to drive up the Lotts road, famous for the Lotts Road Action House; a good place to land if your looking for antiques for your character property make-over.

THE KINGS ROAD
This is one of the most exciting destinations in London for shops, restaurants and pubs. The Kings Road has a lot to offer, as do many of the side streets. Be sure to take in the Duke of York Square, which has some lovely shops, restaurants and the Saatchi gallery. Here you can also enjoy a Saturday market if you wish.
The West end of the Kings Road becomes more proliferated with furniture and lighting shops. Just off the Kings road is the famous Byewater street – well known for its colourful terraced houses, seen below. It is an area buzzing with energy, history and opportunity.
This article just begins to scratch the surface on what Chelsea London has to offer. Really, I cannot think of a good reason, why you wouldn’t consider it, if you are serious about finding your very own London pied-a-terre.

But, don’t take our word for it. This is what one of our happy clients hat to say about the process:
‘We engaged Lindi and her team to fully refurbish our 3 bedroom flat in a Victorian mansion block in Chelsea. She was involved right from the beginning of the process and dealt with everything from electrics, re-plastering, lighting design, bespoke furniture and cabinetry making, kitchen and bathroom design and much more. Lindi was brilliant to work with, able to help us see the big picture at the same time as paying attention to every last detail to ensure that the final outcome was every bit as fantastic as we had hoped. Lindi listened very carefully to what we wanted to achieve, took on our ideas and thoughts, improved on them and often came up with creative solutions to any problems we encountered along the way. The potentially overwhelming task of choosing colour schemes, fabrics and designs was made both manageable and a huge amount of fun when supported by a combination of Lindi’s wealth of professional experience and her creative eye.‘ Sian Clark, Chelsea Client
